Voxa is a free, ad-supported translator app. By installing or using it, you agree to these Terms. Please read the note on translation accuracy — automatic translation is a helpful aid but is not guaranteed to be correct, and must not be relied upon for critical, legal, medical or safety-related communication.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Voxa ("the App") on Android devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. Your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You agree to use the App responsibly and lawfully. In particular, you agree not to:
Automatic translation is an aid, not a guarantee. Translations are generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions or awkward phrasing, especially with idioms, names, slang, technical terms or long passages. Do not rely on the App as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, safety or other critical communication; use a qualified human translator where accuracy matters.
Cloud processing. To translate speech, text or images and to read results aloud, the App sends your input to a third-party cloud translation and text-to-speech service, as described in our Privacy Policy. An internet connection is required, and please avoid submitting sensitive personal information you would not want processed by a cloud service.
The App is free and supported by advertising. By using the App you acknowledge that ads will be displayed and that ad and attribution partners process limited data as described in our Privacy Policy. The App currently offers no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
The translation history, saved phrases and preferences you create in the App are stored locally on your device and are removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
Available features depend on your hardware and network. Voice translation needs a microphone, camera translation needs a camera, and all translation needs an internet connection; the set of supported languages may change over time.
The App, including its design, code, graphics and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license granted above, no rights are transferred to you. Translations you generate are yours to use, subject to the rights of any underlying content and the translation provider's terms.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that translations will be accurate or that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR FROM RELIANCE ON ANY TRANSLATION. Because the App is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed USD 10.00.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
This license remains in effect until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the App. Upon termination you must stop using the App; sections that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification) will survive.
The App is distributed through Google Play. This agreement is between you and the developer only, not with Google. Google is not responsible for the App or its content. Your use of the App must comply with the Google Play Terms of Service, and your data is handled per the Google Privacy Policy. You also agree to comply with all applicable U.S. and local export-control laws in your use of the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and material changes may be noted in the App or Google Play release notes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
